A bit of a Strech 2004-03-20 @ 3:20 p.m.
Ooo...ah...stretching feels good! Adding 20 minutes of stretching to my schedule has definitely been one of my better ideas. I'm approaching it in a different way than I used to. I like to call it the intuitive method. Rather than forcing your body to comply with someone else's standards, just stretch where it feels tight. Or maybe where you want to get more flexible - usually the same place right? I got to warn you though, you feel soooo relaxed when you're done you could just fall asleep! But this is good - I might be semi-flexible by the time I go back to WA for my next batch of Aikido training.
I broke up with Andy last night. Technically, we never really had an official "relationship" - didn't use the b-word. But as Nate insightfully pointed out, we had a relationship nonetheless, and an open relationship at that. I'm such a jerk though - I should have ended this some time ago, but I was so flattered that I didn't want to dissapoint him. I guess by delaying it I probably just made it worse. This whole thing probably sounds so simple to you, but you'll probably understand when I say how I can't explain the complexity of such a romantic situation. The truth though is while I value him tremendously as a friend, I don't love him. And I may possibly be falling in love with someone else.
Reminder for everybody: Drink lots of water, especially during these warmer months. Your body needs it, and you'll feel a lot better. And no, soda will not substitute.
