Spontaneous experiences 2004-03-25 @ 2:22 p.m.

I met a nice guy this morning in Darwin Hall while I was studying for Physics. His name is Matt, and he's a friendly math major. I had some nice conversation with him and his classmates; apparently, all the math majors are required to take the physics class I'm in right now, so he could recall the various things I was working on. I figured to myself "why not?" and gave him my phone number. Of course, it was accompanied by the manly "Wanna get a drink sometime?" which softens the question of "Is this guy hitting on me?" Turns out he'd prefer coffee anyway.

Andy and Peter found me in the library and I joined them for lunch at Carl's Junior, although the two of them couldn't agree on a place for the longest time. Andy is meeting a guy tonight that he hasn't seen in awhile. Andy apparently had sex a couple times with this guy, yet says he really isn't attracted to him. I asked for an explanation, as you probably would. "I was desperate" was his reply. Obviously not the moral highground, but I can relate on some level. Sometimes, loneliness gets so bad you can feel willing to compromise your standards.

And the work goes on... da da...
