A little healing for the Soul March 16, 2005 @ 10:55 p.m.
Kenny Chesney's new album may be his best yet. I've been listening to it throughout the day and it is soooooo relaxing. Its kind of a milestone for him too, because unlike other albums, he wrote every song on this one, although he had some help. But its all about the ocean and the beach and freedom and getting away from it all to bathe in eternity. Its called "Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair" and I highly recommend it.
Something else I've been enjoying is a new edition of Israel Regardie's "The Tree of Life: An Illustrated Study in Magic". An amazing work - especially considering he wrote this occult classic at 24.
I've got chamomile tea here, apple cinnamon oatmeal, a votive candle, good music and a great book. I really need to do this more often, for the sake of my soul.
