A Good Weekend September 18, 2005 @ 8:16 p.m.
I am over at Roxy's tonight to type. I usually come here on Sundays when I'm in town for movie nights, although tonight Roxy, Scott and Jennika are just playing Risk and that's fine. Now that my Sunday school sessions have started, I'll be able to make it here more often. Though, I don't want to stop by too much and make a nuisance of myself.
The first day of classes went fairly well I think. I was reminded again and again just how smart kids really can be and how easily bored they can get when you insult their intelligence. I love my kids allready. I've got 3 intellectuals, two artists, two or three quiet observers, and two Jewish princesses. I feel right at home.
On top of that, I now have two friends from Synagogue willing to give me a place to stay when I'm in town. This synagogue really feels like a family, without all the Jewish guilt. Speaking of which, read The Modern Jewish Girl's Guide to Guilt. Great stuff - I got a copy for my director, but was tempted to keep it myself.
