Productive Bullshit September 19, 2005 @ 10:00 p.m.

Almost nothing got accomplished today, but I'm not complaining. Not that I worked especially hard this last weekend, but for some reason, I didn't feel as guilty about just chilling for a whole day as I usually do. I played FFX for an hour or so, followed up by an hour or two or Age of Kings & David Gray, and then mom just insisted I go rent two more disks of Lost episodes (she's hooked and wants to see if she can finish the first season before the new season premieres on Wednesday).

Jonathan is in and out with work and school - he works over at Baha Fresh in both Dublin and San Ramon, and he's taking classes at Las Positas Community College. Mom is also continuing her work as a researcher and such for Brennan & Wampler's bullshit project. No, it really IS bullshit: they're funding the research and development of incinerator electricity powered by cow chips. Its actually kind of exciting as it provides a way to eliminate a lot of pollution, get some clean energy, and finally get rid of funky cow smell. Already they've tested the stuff out down south and - wonder of wonders - Harris Ranch does not stink anymore! I couldn't believe it when I drove through there a few months ago - how can it be Harris Ranch without horrible cow shit smell? And the best part about this new technology is that there are several big corporations that are interested in it, and could implement it to very good ends. Like the hog and chicken farmers for instance - one small step towards cleaning up a very messy act on their part.

Max has been a pain lately. Mom has a guy over here named Chuck who is repainting the house and redoing the door and noticing the roof tile that was about to come crashing down on our heads, among other things. He's been here for a week now and Max still insists on barking at him all morning while he's working, waking me up and annoying me throughout the hours. And the irony is, if Chuck comes in, Max acts all friendly to him and stops barking. He's just being an alte cocker is what he's doing.
