See You Next Week September 29, 2005 @ 10:06 p.m.

I am at my teacher Loralea's home tonight. Tomorrow we leave on a plane for the Gnostic Order's Annual Conference in Chicago, at the Cabrini Center. I've never been to Chicago so I am looking forward to it.

The conference couldn't have come at a better time. Lorrie and I are both exhausted with life, and I wouldn't be surprise if we hear similar sentiments from the others once we meet up with them. I'm all set to go, but Lorrie is still finishing up some last minute packing. She's been very anxious about the trip, though she can't quite put her finger on what exactly it is. I think, among other things, that she's worried about leaving the situation at her work behind in the state it is. Loralea works in Special Education in Los Gatos, and there's an amazing amount of politics, incompetency, beurocratic bullshit and lack of manpower for her and the other teachers and aide to deal with their students. She may end up getting moved back to her original classroom at a different school in Campbell. Although she enjoyed working there more, its hard now that she's starting to get to know the kids and developed a rapport.

Here's to hoping the conference will go well. Its always been great in the past, but little warning signs are popping up here and there that something difficult is in the air, though we're not sure if it applies to the conference. I pray everything goes smoothly.
